[Openswan Users] Recomendations for VPN gateway

Hey there

I have accepted the task of implenting a VPN Gateway primarily for mobile
Windows XP users.
I have played around with OpenSwan before in a net-to-net configuration.

I have searched info on the subject and have reached the following
conclusion/demands.
Implemented on a Pentium III, 800 MHz, 256 MB RAM, with 2 NIC's
IPTables as the firewall.
IPSec instead of netkey. Should be the recomended solution for working with
WinXP.
Certificate based security

Now i could use some advice on a choosing a distro, that complements my
needs and makes it "easy" to implement, without a lot of trouble with
incompatiple versions of various packages.

What would you guys/gals recomend ?
