Hey there<br><br>I have accepted the task of implenting a VPN Gateway primarily for mobile Windows XP users.<br>I have played around with OpenSwan before in a net-to-net configuration.<br><br>I have searched info on the subject and have reached the following conclusion/demands.
<br>Implemented on a Pentium III, 800 MHz, 256 MB RAM, with 2 NIC's<br>IPTables as the firewall.<br>IPSec instead of netkey. Should be the recomended solution for working with WinXP.<br>Certificate based security<br><br>Now i could use some advice on a choosing a distro, that complements my needs and makes it &quot;easy&quot; to implement, without a lot of trouble with incompatiple versions of various packages.
