[Openswan Users] Communication from Gateway

Hi All,

I have successfully established a VPN tunnel between Openswan and Cisco PIX
. The network is like (the addresses are not real):

192.168.0.0/24===226.122.58.69---226.122.58.61...111.222.101.1---111.222.101.15===192.168.1.0/24

While I am able to ping a remote machine 192.168.1.25 from a local machine
192.168.0.10, the pings from the Openswan gateway machine (private ip
192.168.0.11) don't work (I guess the reason is that this machine
communicates with the remote gateway using its public ip address
(226.122.58.69) and they only allow private addresses).
Basically I want to run an application right on the gateway machine that
connects to a machine (say 192.168.1.25) protected by the remote VPN device.
Is it possible???

Any help how to achieve this will be greatly appreciated. Pardon my
ignorance if I am asking about something horrible as I am new to this Linux
and VPN world.

Thanks

Aqeel Ahmad
