Bummer... Well, downgrading is not my first choice, so I guess I'll 
recompile the damn thing. I have never done it before, so wish me luck!

Really? At my tests I ran rp-l2tp with those settings, and it worked. How 
did it bombed at you?

Kernel recompile, here I go. I would like to thank you all for the support. 
Really, I would have no idea of what to do without your help.
