There is a fairly elaborate document by Andrew Bartlett of the Samba
team at: http://hawkerc.net/staff/abartlet/comp3700/final-report.pdf
Although he used NT domain authentication with a wireless PPTP VPN
(Samba and Poptop), one should be able to use it for L2TP as well.
