I would agree -- you know my religion.  But that agreement is
conditioned by pragmatism: sometimes warnings have been out of our
control (eg. GCC changes, system header bugs, ...).

I've not tried to build the system.  I was just reacting to reports
that you experienced a problem but Paul didn't seem to.

warning?  Perhaps not in all systems' builds, but in some?
