Who should fix that? How should it be fixed?
If it is an OpenWRT problem, you or I could report it and push until
it is fixed (or we die of old age).

How do you fix those? Is there a mechanism for a different script to
be used on Openwrt and "normal" Openswan?

That substitution works for me.
