Subject: How get ipsec error code on script

To: users at lists.openswan.org
Hi,
I am using this script to connect a L2TP/IPsec server:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/L2TP/IPsec_VPN_client_setup#A_further_script
Sometimes the IPsec connection was not setting up rightly after this command:
/usr/sbin/ipsec auto --up L2TP-PSK
and it would become pure L2TP connection.
How can I know the IPsec connection status to avoid pure L2TP connection?
Thanks,
Kenneth
