[Openswan Users] IPSec VPN Tunnel loosing connection

We have an VPN set up and everything was working fine.
1 month ago the VPN tunnel looses connectivity.
We restart the ipsec service and the tunnel comes up it stays up for a
duration that varies from
1 minute to 1 hour and then drops again.

We have made no changes to the configuration on the tunnel.

How should we investigate this issue.
Any suggestions will be much appreciated.
