[Openswan Users] initiateontraffic

I try to use the option --initiateontraffic but it doesn't work.

I understand that initiate the connection when I have traffic to send over the connection..



ipsec whack --name test1 --host 21.0.0.1 --client 21.21.21.21/32 --to --host 2
2.0.0.1  --client 22.22.22.22/32 --psk --esp 3des-md5 --encrypt --initiateontraf
fic

but if I make a ping it's ICMP packet but not ESP..
the connection doesn't start correctly and the packet is clear..

Help me please..
