I don't know lt2p specifically, but what seems obvious to me is the following sequence

The OSX requires MS-CHAPv2 as authentication protocol, but your side can
offer only pap. Therefore the remote side closes later the connection:

Mar  3 11:24:48 JeOS pppd[1281]: rcvd [LCP TermReq id=0x3 "peer refused to authenticate"]

So I would recommend to configure this ms-chap on your local side.
