[Openswan Users] kernel 2.6.26.5 or 26.26 and openswan-2.6.16 with nattpatch

Why don't you do a yum install openswan ? it will install with nat-t 
support and u can turn it off in the ipsec.conf  if you want to.. its 
way easier than what your trying to do
