This is my current status.

From=20XP I can start the connection using the built-in tool.
When I open the status panel from the windows start menu tray
and view the Details panel it show the following:

DeviceName.....WAN miniport (PPTP)
Device type....vpn
Server type....PPP
Transports.....TCP/IP
Authentication.MS CHAP V2
Encryption.....MPPE 128
Compression....(none)
PPP multilink framing.Off
Server IP address.....192.168.0.13
Client IP address.....192.168.0.1

In the ppptpd.conf I have:
localip 192.168.0.13
remoteip 192.168.0.1-10

From=20the server, when the tunnel is up and I ping 192.168.0.1
it reports ping:sendmsg: operation not permitted.

When the tunnel is down ping fails.

However from the XP client ping 192.168.0.13 times out in
all cases.

Is this correct ?

Peter
