okay, as stated somewhere in the papers i've followed for config, it says 
something like "when it doesn't work while it sould, there are 95% chances 
that it is a firewall-related issue". And indeed it was.
I did'nt catch the trick about NAT-t using udp port 4500 for encapsulating 
(at least with this VPN client). the openswan gateway being "iptabled" the 
port was not open, now it is, everything seems to be fine now.

thanks anyway...
PS : the ATTRIBUTES_NOT_SUPPORTED message was in fact harmless...
