i have try to patching a fresh 2.6.14 kernel
and tried the 2.4.4 open swan klips patch,
it take fine except for 3 exceptions (detailed below)
i would assume based on the dates of open swan 2.4.4
and linux (straight linus linux www.kernel.org) 2.6.14
and comments in the Klips patch 2.4.4 that make refence upto kernel 2.6.14,
that this patch should take no problem ... but ..
after patching
i then make the kernel and get an error ....
..
..
..
CC net/ipsec/ipsec_proc.o
CC net/ipsec/ipsec_tunnel.o
net/ipsec/ipsec_tunnel.c: In function ‘ipsec_tunnel_SAlookup’:
net/ipsec/ipsec_tunnel.c:279: error: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type
net/ipsec/ipsec_tunnel.c:279: error: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type
net/ipsec/ipsec_tunnel.c:279: error: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type
net/ipsec/ipsec_tunnel.c:280: error: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type
net/ipsec/ipsec_tunnel.c:280: error: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type
net/ipsec/ipsec_tunnel.c:280: error: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type
make[2]: *** [net/ipsec/ipsec_tunnel.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [net/ipsec] Error 2
make: *** [net] Error 2
so again, i have a virgin linus linux kernel 2.4.14
a 2.4.4 openswan Klips patch from openswan.org that (based on date, and comments in patch) should
be directed at the 2.4.14 kernel ....
and get a compile error on this patched kernel :(
any one have any suggestions ?
anyone sucessfully compiled a Klips'd patched kernel .. and if so, what patch did they use against what
kernel?
