Sorry, but what exactly is segfaulting? The pppd child (enable debug and
increase logging)? Tcpdump? It can't be rp-l2tp because you also tried
(x)l2tpd, right? It can't be the RADIUS plugin either because you tried
without RADIUS.

I don't know the exact cause of this problem but you can make
smaller certs by using shorter names and avoiding extensions.
