[Openswan Users] tunnels need regular pings

i have a setup, which worked quite good for a long time. we moved the 
server to a diffrent location, and troubles start.
i have a config with 1 openswan server ( public ip ), and a lot of 
roadwarriors, behind a vigor 2600 router. The tunnels seem to set up 
correctly, but i have to issue a ping from the server to the roadwarrior 
before it is usable. on a busy roadwarrior, the tunnel stays up. on a 
quiet one, i have to ping again after a while.
the roadwarriors are still running freeswan ( from suse 9.1 ), the 
server is running 2.4.0 ( latest release ).
