[Openswan Users] interface ipsec0 not created

..but openswan haven't a init script ??!! or pheraps I don't understand yuor explanation.
I have ipsec init script in /etc/rc.d/init.d and from:

#chkconfig --list
..
ipsec  0:off    1:off    2:on    3:on    4:on    5:on   6:off
..

..and then I have installed:

- openswan-2.4.0-1.i386.rpm
- openswan-klips-2.4.0-2.6.12_1.1376_FC3_1.i386.rpm

..but I am not still successful to install the klips patch for kernel 2.6:

- openswan-2.4.0.kernel-2.6-klips.patch.gz 

.... perhaps is this the problem? 
I must necessarily install the klips patch beyond and to the packages:

- openswan-2.4.0-1.i386.rpm
- openswan-klips-2.4.0-2.6.12_1.1376_FC3_1.i386.rpm
