Openswan developers,
I know you probably are very busy with isakmp checking atm.
Maybe our problem is related to these issues ?!
It almost looked as if OpenS/WAN 2.4.2rc1 + kernel 2.4.32 fixed our dying pluto problem,
but alas it didn't :(
[ I haven't got the time and chance to try 2.4.2 really.
However, if the information below indicates that the 2.4.2 codebase
has solved issues causing the crash i'd be more than happy to try ]
I have figured out that the other side of the connection is a
Sonicwall pro 3060 with sonicos enhanced (latest version as far as the
person i talked to knew).
I've enabled pluto's core dumps and added --debug-all.
The last log entry before pluto crashes is:
Nov 14 15:39:58 myhost pluto[18659]: packet from a.b.c.d:500: Informational Exchange is for an unknown (expired?) SA
pluto dumps core at:
#0 0x080782e4 in process_packet (mdp=0x80e04ec) at demux.c:2059
2059 if (smc->flags & SMF_INPUT_ENCRYPTED)
Cheers,
Albert
