[Openswan Users] still mtu troubles

i had a roadwarrior ( isdn adsl ), which seemed to freezed once in a while, 
clearly an mtu problem. set the mtu to 1400, and it seemed to work. until the 
users wanted to send attachements with their mails. after a 7 % of 
transmission , the connection seemed to stall. smtp is tcp, so it can't be a 
problem concerning this udp fragmentation. what else could i try  ?
