[Openswan Users] Reverse connection back from vpn server to roadwarriors

Hi,
Whilst doing security thoughts/checks for vpn road warriors I noticed a
problem someone might has resolved.
I want to run smbclient on the vpn server against the road warrior once
connected to openswan ipsec/l2tp server.
Unfortunately this does not work.
However a internal host can ping/smbclient against the road warrior vpn
connection.
Is there any reason why the vpn host cannot do this ??
