[Openswan Users] Openswan 2.3.1 and 2.6 Kernel

Openswan users:

I want to use Openswan 2.3.1 on a CentOS 4 system.
CentOS 4 is equivalent to RedHat Enterprise Linux 4
and uses a 2.6 kernel.  Can I just install the 2.3.1
RPM from ATrpms.net
(http://atrpms.net/dist/el4/openswan) OR do I need
additional patches and/or system configuration changes
to make 2.3.1 run?

If additional patches or changes are required, which
one(s) do I need? I’ve done some research on this
topic but don’t have a clear picture of what is
