[Openswan Users] temporary failure

I am runnning openswan-2.2.0 on a Suse9.2 system.
Sometimes the ipsec connection does not come up (internet connection is 
up) and the logfiles show the following error:
Feb  3 10:10:11 nobbi ipsec__plutorun: ...could not start conn "rw"
Feb  3 10:10:21 nobbi pluto[5424]: ERROR: recvfrom on eth1 failed; Pluto 
cannot decode source sockaddr in rejection: unknown source. Errno 11: 
Resource temporarily unavailable
Feb  3 10:10:31 nobbi pluto[5424]: ERROR: recvfrom on eth1 failed; Pluto 
cannot decode source sockaddr in rejection: unknown source. Errno 11: 
Resource temporarily unavailable

Restarting ipsec a few seconds laters and the connection comes up 
without any changes.
Can someone explain, what might cause this error?
