That network diagram did not come out quite right. It's a simple
configuration, but let me try that again.

		<== linux gateway ==>
		(123.123.123.1)
Remote					Host
Network					Network
(192.168.3.0)				(192.168.1.0)
		<== linksys backup ==>
		(123.123.123.2)

Subject: [Openswan Users] Backup Link

Hi, I am hoping I can get some pointers or tips regarding setting up a
backup IPSEC link for an office to office connection. In my situation, I
am looking to create hardware redundancy over the same DSL line. There
currently exists a linux server serving as the SA. I would like to add a
linksys IPSEC/VPN router to serve as a backup in case the linux server
were to ever go down.

I would like to make the backup linksys box as transparent as possible.
The main issue I see is how to have 2 configurations on the host
security gateway, connect to the same remote subnet via 2 different
public ipaddresses. Picture below:

				<== linux gateway ==>
					(123.123.123.1)
	Remote network						Host
network
	 (192.168.3.0)
(192.168.1.0)
				<== linksys backup gateway ==>
					(123.123.123.2)

Any help is appreciated! Thanks,
Jay
