  I'd rather not do that.
  I find it much easier to debug/understand it without the dates there.
As the feature was primarily added to aid in debugging of code, I'd
prefer to keep it that way.

  I think that the user should configure their syslog.conf properly
instead -- syslogd can log to multiple files.

  If we need to be able to configure pluto to use a different syslog
service, then that would certainly be possible.

  Alternatively, we can create a third option, which is "log to file",
which would have the dates. Or, I guess we could create an option to
output the date. One thought is to output the date only every 5 seconds,
on a seperate line (and only if we haven't said anything for awhile).
