[Openswan Users] 26sec and pseudo-tty

I've sorted the IPSec connection (using PSK for the moment) but l2tpd isn't 
establishing due to the FC2 pseudo-tty error/feature.
So I'm recompiling the kernel to enable "Legacy pty support". Is this 
specific to the FC2 distro, or do other distros have this disabled too?
Is everyone else out here using l2tpd? If there is a more convenient option 
I'm all ears
