Brad,
This is just my preference of course, try the IPCop firewall. It is a
downloadable ISO, with very short and sweet installation. The 1.4.0
(currently in beta, but moving fast to production) version has built in
x.509 support and pkcs/p12 files. Made bringing up my Windows client
and importing information (with Nates howto) very very easy.
