[Openswan Users] Openswan 2.1.3 xauth problem

When trying to add a connection using xauth (ipsec auto --add doe), I get the
following error:
/usr/local/libexec/ipsec/whack: unrecognized option `--xauthclient'

Any ideas? I just did a normal kernel patch (running 2.4.25) and compiled the
userspace tools with make programs, then did make install. Nothing else was
modified.

Here is the ipsec.conf entry: (NOTE: i've used <tab> instead of a tab
character in this email, stupid web-based email)
conn doe
<tab>left=%defaultroute
<tab>leftid=@stjos
<tab>leftxauthclient=yes
<tab>right=server.ip
<tab>rightxauthserver=yes
<tab>authby=secret
<tab>auto=add

OE is disabled per the include.
