[Openswan Users] VPN on UML

Are there any special considerations to running Free/OpenS/WAN on a UML 
machine? Has anyone solved the routing issues that seem to derive from a 
routing table like this:

# route -n
Kernel IP routing table
Destination     Gateway         Genmask         Flags Metric Ref    Use Iface
127.0.0.0       127.0.0.1       255.0.0.0       UG    0      0        0 lo
0.0.0.0         1.2.3.101   	0.0.0.0         UG    1      0        0 eth0

Where 1.2.3.101 is also the UML machine's IP address.
