The first time you start openswan it will check through the 'candidate'
modules, and then copy the appropriate one as "ipsec.o". You should not
need to do this manually.

Again, please try to give us the result of gdb on the coredump.

Since you are now using 2.4 kernels, you will not have those.

I think people have used it before. I don't have an FC1/2 system, but
used its kernel on oRH9 systems with openswan.
