I was curious if the Mac's floating port be a complication on NETKEY.

Do you expect this to be a compile time option? If will it be a run time
thing where Mac clients will be treated differently from other
NATed clients?

Yes, but they won't upgrade at the same time. There will be a period where
different types of clients exist.
