I'm using Cisco VPN client, v4.9. I have no doubt that Cisco (yet
again) broke something specifically. However, Racoon does work well
with it. Unfortunately I can't run racoon and pluto side-by-side (and
I don't even know if that'd be a wise choice either).<br>

What are you running at each end ? Patching the system showing this error
won't fix it, the sender is sending a bad packet, perhaps it needs fixing
at the other end ;-)

Here's the patch. I've given it a fair bit of testing locally but
would appreciate feedback. This is a more pedantic version of what I have
been testing over the weekend, in that it always initialises reply_buffer
before adding the header to be sure.
I haven't seen any problems with this version, but YMMV.
