To use sha2_256 you will need the latest patches for openswan that will
be in openswan 2.6.38, as well as the XFRM kernel code of kernel 2.6.33
or better (or a backport of it)

But the link you are posting is not about sha2 at all.

Try using this more up to date example using 1 connection instead of 2:
