Okay, this is most certainly the 2.6 memory fragmentation bug. Upgrade your
kernel (to 2.6.8.1 ?)

Do you use IPCOMP? If so, it's a known kernel problem and will be fixed
soon.  In the mean time just disable IPCOMP.
